Antioch is one of the first four sees who were present at the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea at the year 325. (Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria and Antioch.)Antioch was founded by both of the Disciples Peter and Paul and it is mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles: “And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch” (Acts 11:26)The see of Antioch has been transferred to Damascus and our Patriarch has two locations, the first one is in Damascus-Syria and a second one in Balamend-Lebanon.The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America includes eight Dioceses containing over 275 cathedrals, churches, and missions throughout the United States and Canada.Our church is one of the
