The Feast of Saint Elias!
Next weekend Sunday July 20 is the Feast of “The incarnate Angel, and the Prophets’ summit and boast, the second forerunner of the coming of Christ our God, Elias, the glorious”.
This is indeed the title of the Great Prophet Elias as is chanted in his Apolyticon.
The good news is that this feast has been sponsored by Elias and Suhair Koussa.
We will be celebrating the feast on Saturday July 19 @ 7:00 PM by a Great Vespers with the blessing of the 5 loaves of bread and the Kosssa family will be offering an evening Agape Meal.
And on Sunday by the usual Divine Liturgy of the feast.
